Protect Your Data

  Network Backups

Easy and reliable tape, disk array, and DVD solutions

Cyberworks can help you select, install and configure the
right backup solution for your organization. We also
provide consulting services to assist you with alternative,
lower cost, layered data backup strategies, which
include periodic "snap-shots" to local disk, DVD and
NAS (Network Attached Storage).

One of the backup strategies that we often recommend
is to store a periodic baseline (full backup), perhaps
once per week, of all corporate data on tape and then
overlap two or more other storage methods to backup
newly created data each day. For example: have your
Windows desktops backup on-the-fly to a NAS server
during the day and then copy the same data from both
the workstations and the NAS server to tape each
evening. This gives users immediate access to recently
deleted or "lost" files from the backups located on
another hard disk (NAS) over the network. Should the
need arise; older archived data can be restored from
tape.

There are various ways to implement this backup
strategy. As a general rule Cyberworks aims to remain
vendor neutral with regard to backup solutions. We try to
examine all available offerings for our clients in order to
meet their specific needs.
